KBR developed a community-based Natural Disaster Mitigation (NDM) program for this extremely vulnerable Central Vietnam province. Through a wide-spread community risk-reduction and schools campaign, combined with floodplain planning and construction of mitigation measures, this integrated NSM project has become a highly regarded national model in dramatically saving lives and reducing damages.
