SKM completed the EPCM for delivery of a coal plant upgrade from 6 Mtpa to 12 Mtpa including coal preparation, handling and infrastructure. Despite a radical plan which was implemented to duplicate the coal preparation plant instead of upgrading existing plant, SKM achieved the target time and budget in an environment of spiralling costs and resource shortage.
