The Marina Barrage is a dam built across the Marina Channel in Singapore. It acts as a tidal barrier that prevents high tides from causing flooding of inland low-lying areas, creating a new freshwater reservoir in the Marina Basin. Coffey Geotechnics provided geotechnical services for the detailed design of the bored pile foundations, and developed an efficient and economic foundation solution using in-house software.
