South-East Queensland is experiencing a record drought and the Southern Regional Water Pipeline is a key component of the Government’s strategy to tackle the problem. The 100km pipeline has been designed to transfer bulk treated water between new desalination facilities at the Gold Coast and existing water storages in Brisbane, providing direct supply to five local authorities in the region.
