Commissioned to conduct a corridor selection process for a proposed high voltage transmission line route, SKM implemented its in-house Sustainability Assessment Tool and a highly interactive stakeholder engagement process. Driven by an overarching sustainability framework, this approach achieved strong community ‘buy in’, reduced political risk and smooth delivery. Praised by the client, the State Government and local community, this project shows how sustainability and meaningful stakeholder engagement play an important role in business planning and decision-making processes.
