Designed and constructed a new, modern, lined landfill (capacity 12,000 tonnes/year); improved weekly household collection systems for 12,000 households (75,000 people); guided drafting of new legislation establishing a new Waste authority to manage all solid waste services. Developed and implemented awareness programs aimed at encouraging community participation in waste services.
