Houghton Highway Duplication -
Community Consultation

KBR undertook an extensive stakeholder engagement program on Houghton Highway Duplication project. Queensland Department of Main Roads is duplicating the southern hemisphere’s longest bridge through a sensitive marine park area. KBR's work has improved the recreational and tourism capacity of the area, while creating a positive legacy for the community.

Redeveloping Community Sites; ACT Former Schools Community Consultation
Australian Capital Territory

The ACT Government's closure of 23 Schools in 2006 and the ensuing process of decision making regarding reuse, engendered at atmosphere of sometimes intense community and political debate. in May 2008 GHD was engaged to solicit views on the future use outcomes of the sites. Through innovative web-based consultation an outcome was achieved in only 12 weeks, which was well received by both community and government.
